A cancer diagnosis is devastating enough, but imagine being told the cancer you have is incurable. For Mount Eliza resident Geoff Nyssen, this is what he faced in 2014.
As a father of two young children, a husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, the news of his multiple myeloma diagnosis and a likely shortened life expectancy of 10 years left him, his family and friends reeling.
Fast-forward to today and Geoff is living with blood cancer while leading his community towards health and happiness. In 2017 he launched MY Fun Run Mount Eliza to raise money for research into innovative diagnostic tools and treatment for myeloma.
