Before flowers were simply beautiful, they had things to say.
Join Bookneck for the third gathering in its Winter Parlour Series, an evening exploring the curious language of flowers and the tradition of botanical sketching with Mornington Peninsula artist Susan Robson.
We’ll step inside the artist’s sketchbook to look at how artists have observed and recorded the natural world, before putting pencil to paper ourselves. Along the way, we’ll delve into floriography, the fascinating language through which flowers once carried meanings, messages and sentiments of their own.
No drawing experience or artistic ability required. Just bring your curiosity.
Tickets $39 per person.
All materials and light refreshments included. Places limited to 20.
