A Sense of Place

April 25 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

A Sense of Place

The workshop will start with a short walk to collect suitable windfall materials. Participants will be shown a number of frottage techniques (textured rubbings) The textured prints will be torn, cut, glued and arranged into 1- 2 small handmade artist books that bring together a personal response to the landscape of Police Point Shire Park. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity! Bridget Hillebrand completed her practice-based PhD at Monash University and a Master of Arts (Fine Art) from RMIT University. Her recent projects explore the links between the experience of place, belonging and the impact of cultural histories on the landscape. Bridget is represented in numerous major public collections in Australia and internationally, including the National Gallery of Australia. As the Education Manager of the Print Council of Australia she is also a passionate educator and workshop facilitator.
