A 27-year-old Fairfield woman is expected to appear in court today over an incident at Seaford yesterday that left two police officers in hospital.
Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged the woman with four counts of intentionally exposing an emergency worker to risk driving; intentionally causing serious injury; reckless conduct endangering life; and assault-related offences.
The charges followed an incident at Ballarto Rd about 2.40pm yesterday after police were called for a welfare check on a woman in a vehicle. It is alleged the woman drove her vehicle into the police officers, pinning a male officer against a wall and then running over the leg of a policewoman before driving off. Both officers were taken to hospital for treatment.
The Fairfield woman is scheduled to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
