There’s something special about the first weekend in May on the Mornington Peninsula. For 39 years, artists from the Peninsula and throughout Australia have been exhibiting their work in the wonderfully diverse offering that is Art Red Hill. This event for lovers of creation and those who pursue it welcomes thousands of visitors on May 4-6 to the Red Hill region, brimming with aesthetic promise.
More than 1000 artworks will be on display, with fabulous coffee, delicious fresh food and indigenous works from Whistlewood Gallery in Shoreham, all contributing to making this an unmissable event. Paintings, works on paper, sculptures, glass, ceramics and jewellery will be exhibited, while the stunning Pop Up Shop retail store will be selling giftware, fashion, homewares and jewellery.
The little ones can get their hands all arty in the craft tent from 10am-4pm Saturday and Sunday with activities to thrill the most creative minds. The opening night for over 18s on Friday, May 4, includes delectable food from Red Gum BBQ and music from Peninsula-based singer-songwriter Eve Ward from 7.30-10.30pm. Tickets are $30 if bought online and $35 at the door.
