If you like rock ‘n’ roll, you are going to love this – ‘The Everly Brothers & Buddy Holly In Concert’ is coming to the Frankston Arts Centre on Saturday, February 11.
For the first time in Australia, rock ’n’ roll fans will be able to hear all the classics and No 1 hits of these three music legends. Australia’s multi award winning duo The Robertson Brothers play the magical sounds of The Everly Brothers and singing superstar Scot Robin plays the role of Buddy Holly.
The Roberston Brothers are one of Australia’s leading vocal groups, best known as providing the vocals on the theme song for TV soapie ‘Home & Away’. They have toured the world with international acts such as The Eagles, America, John Denver, ELO and more. They also featured in the opening ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
Ben and Geoff Robertson have performed in Frankston as the Everly Brothers three times and, speaking with Mornington Peninsula Magazine from Sydney, Ben said he loved the venue. “Frankston is unreal,” he said. “The audience is always very supportive.”
Expect the hits that made The Everly Brothers the legends they are including ‘Bye Bye Love’, ‘Wake Up Little Susie’, ‘All I Have To Do Is Dream’, ‘Bird Dog’, ‘Let It Be Me’, ‘(Til) I Kissed You’, ‘Cathy’s Clown’, ‘Crying In The Rain’ and ‘When Will I Be Loved’.
Scot Robin will showcase Buddy Holly’s hits including ‘That’ll Be The Day’, ‘Peggy Sue’, ‘Raining In My Heart’, ‘Rave On’, ‘Maybe Baby’, ‘It’s So Easy’, ‘Everyday’ and many more.
