Mount Martha’s beloved Via Battisti has been a local institution for years, and at its heart is the passionate and driven Dan Force.

Since taking the reins in 2013, Dan has poured her heart and soul into the cafe, overseeing two renovations and numerous menu overhauls while maintaining the core values that make Via Battisti so special.  It’s clear to anyone who walks through the door:

Dan lives and breathes hospitality.

Her dedication extends beyond just serving delicious food and coffee.  Dan is a firm believer in sustainability, and her commitment to the environment shines through in every aspect of the cafe.

A deserved winner of the Best Bites waste initiative, Via Battisti is a testament to Dan’s vision for a greener future.  For example, the cafe’s cups are crafted from 33 per cent coffee husk.
Recognising her talent and vision, Dan was invited to become a shareholder and board member of the Mulberry Group, encompassing multiple restaurants, a regenerative farm, The Common Ground Project and Square One Coffee Roasters.

From expertly crafted lattes to strategic boardroom decisions, Dan’s journey is an inspiration to us all.  She proves that with passion, innovation, and a genuine love for what you do, anything is possible.

Open 7am-3pm daily.
