This spring, that philosophy has inspired Nest & Bird’s first signature product, born from a problem in creative director Heidi Evans’ own living room.
“I had a sofa I loved and wanted to protect from everyday family life,” Heidi says. “I tried different throws, but they constantly slipped, bunched up and ended up on the floor.
“Then I discovered the sofa topper: a soft, quilted layer that adds comfort while protecting the upholstery underneath. I immediately wanted one but couldn’t find what I was looking for in Australia. So, after months of research, sampling and refining, I created my own.”
Made from French flax linen with a soft, plump quilted fill, the Nest & Bird Sofa Topper protects against kids, pets, crumbs, spills and everyday wear, and can simply be removed and washed when life happens. It’s practical enough for a busy family home, but beautiful enough to leave out every day.
