Spring has arrived at Heronswood, bringing fresh growth, colourful displays and a new season of inspiration to one of Dromana’s most treasured gardens.

Across the property, fruit trees are bursting into blossom while spring planting is well underway. In the kitchen garden, carrots, beetroot and peas are being harvested as new crops are planted to ensure a continuous supply throughout the season. Tomatoes, chillies and other summer favourites are also being started in preparation for the warmer months ahead.
Heronswood’s sheltered microclimate provides the perfect conditions for an impressive range of subtropical produce. Bananas, pepinos, sweet potatoes, ginger and more thrive within the gardens, demonstrating just how diverse and productive a thoughtfully planned garden can be.
Now open seven days a week, Heronswood offers visitors the chance to wander through its beautiful grounds, see what’s growing and gather ideas for their own gardens.

The garden shop and nursery are also fully stocked for spring, with a wide selection of seeds, plants and gardening tools available to help turn that inspiration into something of your own.
Whether you’re an experienced gardener, planning your next vegetable patch or simply looking for a beautiful place to spend a spring day, Heronswood is alive with colour, growth and possibilities for the season ahead.
