Somerville Egg Farm is a family-run business that has been operating for generations and embraces a way of life that honours traditional farming.
The Napolitano family’s mission is to nurture the land through regenerative practices, ensuring the farm flourishes for decades to come. They believe that content, happy hens lay the best eggs. Here you’ll find chickens basking in the sun, freely exploring the pastures and pecking the earth.
The farm shop is well worth the visit – not just for some of the freshest, most nutritious free-range chicken eggs on the Peninsula, but also for its incredible variety. Alongside chicken eggs, you’ll find eggs from ducks, quails, and even the occasional emu.
While you’re there, explore the wholesome handmade and locally grown produce, including honey, potatoes, herbs, apples, fresh-cut flowers, and Island Pasta’s small-batch pasta and sauces. You can even purchase the same chicken feed the family use for their hens, or aged chicken manure that’s always popular with gardeners.
