When it comes to high-end custom residences, the accolades continue to pour in for Gstruct Group.
Two years ago, founder/director Glenn Longstaff and his team won Season 3 of Australia’s Best House, beating more than 100 exceptional entries from across the country.
This year they scored at Master Builders Victoria’s Eastern Regional Building Awards, winning Best Multi-Unit Development and being named Residential Builder of the Year for their stunning Fawkner project at Blairgowrie.
Master Builders Victoria said of the project: “These Blairgowrie residences showcase exceptional structural innovation within a challenging coastal environment. Both homes were built using AFS concrete wall systems and feature extensive suspended slab construction, incorporating premium finishes including travertine slabs, limewash paintwork, venetian plaster, veneer joinery, hydronic floor heating, and integrated Dynalite automation systems.
House 1 features a second-floor living area with a rooftop terrace and bar offering bay views, while House 2 elevates structural innovation further with a dramatic detailed edge pool on the upper level, complete with glass side and glass base – a rare and technically demanding feature in residential construction.
Together, these homes demonstrate structural sophistication, refined detailing, and seamless integration of architecture with coastal context.
