No one knows Pt. Leo Estate more intimately than the people who work there every day and still choose to spend their own time enjoying it. As summer arrives, we asked a few team members to share their personal favourite ways to enjoy a real day out at one of Victoria’s favourite destinations this season.

A stand-out dining experience on the Peninsula
Extended summer trading hours allows Pt. Leo Restaurant, Laura and the Wine Terrace to suit your summer pace. Whether it’s a long lunch that stretches into the afternoon or relaxed evening dining, each space showcases seasonal produce from the estate’s own garden and local suppliers, paired with vineyard-to-ocean views that make dining here unforgettable.
Bookings for Laura and Pt. Leo Restaurant are strongly recommended, while the Wine Terrace welcomes walk-ins and offers limited group bookings, ideal for those who love a little spontaneity without compromising on great food, great wine, and a warm, family-friendly setting.

Summer Socials: the Peninsula’s feel-good summer vibe
Summer Socials has become a Peninsula favourite for staff, locals and holidaymakers alike: a sunlit, late-afternoon DJ series that stretches into the warm summer evenings on the Wine Terrace lawns. With a rotating line-up of local and internationally recognised DJs, each event brings its own distinct vibe. Combined with Pt. Leo Estate’s exceptional food and wine offering and breathtaking twilight views, it delivers an atmosphere unlike anything else on the Peninsula. At just $50 a person, tickets offer exceptional value, but capacity is limited, so early booking is essential.
A sculpture park that feels like stepping into another world
Pt. Leo Estate’s 6.5ha sculpture park offers a peaceful, art-filled alternative to the region’s busier summer spots. With more than 70 large-scale works by celebrated local and international artists and set among sweeping lawns, native gardens and coastal vistas, this is the perfect place to slow down and explore at your own pace. This summer, Sip & Sketch returns with dedicated sessions for adults and children. These book out quickly, so securing your place early is strongly recommended.

Sip, unwind and take in the coastline at the Cellar Door
Open daily with no reservations required, the Cellar Door is one of the easiest and most welcoming ways to enjoy Pt. Leo Estate. Guests can taste award-winning wines, chat with the knowledgeable team and enjoy uninterrupted vineyard and ocean views. On Saturday evenings, it transforms into Vespre, a wine bar offering cocktails, tapas and some of the most spectacular sunsets on the Peninsula.
Melbourne Food & Wine Festival: a major highlight of the season
This year’s Melbourne Food & Wine Festival marks a first for the region where the legendary Chin Chin will make its Mornington Peninsula debut at Pt. Leo Estate. From March 28-29, three exclusive events will unfold across Laura, Pt. Leo Restaurant and the Wine Terrace. Expect Chin Chin’s iconic Southeast Asian flavours, touches of Spanish flair and Pt. Leo Estate’s signature artistry and hospitality. With limited tickets and three unique culinary experiences to choose from, this is set to be one of the most talked-about weekends of the summer, and is a must for food and wine-lovers.
With each visit offering something different and new to discover, everyone agrees Pt. Leo Estate is a real day out – a summer experience that invites you back again and again.
