Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released images and a video of two people they want to speak to regarding the assault of a 52-year-old Seaford man in Frankston last month.

Police said the man was walking home through the Frankston CBD about 4.40am on December 5 when he was approached by a male and female on Dandenong Rd West. The male demanded the man’s clothes and backpack, and when his demands were refused he punched the man repeatedly until the victim fell to the ground. The male then tried to pull the man’s backpack off him and kicked him as he tried to stand. The man managed to flee without anything being stolen, but he suffered bruising to his face and injuries to his jaw.

The unknown male and female then walked away and were last seen walking along Kitson St. The male is described as Islander in appearance, aged 20-30, with a solid build. He was wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and white runners. The female is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged 20-30, and was wearing a blue blazer over a red top, black pants and black and white sneakers.

Anyone who recognises the pair, who witnessed the incident or with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or file a confidential report online.
