Mornington Peninsula police have urged residents to stay home and follow the State Government’s Stage 4 lockdown guidelines as Victoria continues to grapple with rising cases of COVID-19. In an online post, police revisited a classic World War II rallying call: “Your courage, your cheerfulness, your resolution will bring us victory.
“As Stage 4 restrictions begin, this is as true in 2020 as it was in 1939,” the post said. “We’re all – police and public – in this together. Make sure you keep in touch with loved ones, stick to the Chief Health Officer’s directions. Look after your own mental health, and most of all, #stayathome.”
You can check out the government’s directions here. The Frankston City local government area currently has 57 confirmed active cases of COVID-19, while the Mornington Peninsula Shire has 23.
