A 65-year-old Langwarrin woman and a 44-year-old Langwarrin man have been arrested after a burglary in Seaford last night that left an occupant with head and back injuries.

Two people allegedly forced entry into a Duncan Ave property about 9.40pm and assaulted a 39-year-old man with a weapon in the presence of his partner and children. The victim was treated for his injuries.

Frankston police located and arrested a man and a woman in a vehicle nearby shortly after the incident, and Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged the woman with aggravated burglary this morning. She has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday. The man remains in police custody and is expected to face court today on charges including aggravated burglary, assault and theft.
