Vets On Call is about to take the at-home care of your cat or dog to the next level. Up and running for just under three months after spending a year and a half building the technology and recruiting vets, Peninsula boys Nathan Sinnott and Morgan Coleman are in this business venture paws and all.
Since returning from Boston in July, where they spent a week workshopping with industry insiders and investors after winning the Australia-wide business start-up competition Mass Challenge, these two beachside pet enthusiasts are set to make high-quality pet care quick, flexible and easily accessible for everyone.
Nathan explains. “We’ve had just over 10,000 downloads since launching the app and visited more than 1000 clients and their pets. We are currently Victoria-wide and are soon to expand into Sydney, then the rest of Australia early next year. We are passionate about good quality pet care and believe everyone should have access to it. I guess you could say we are the equivalent of the 13SICK home doctor’s service for humans. Our easy-to-use app brings the best quality veterinary care right to your door, whether your pet needs on-the-spot care, prescriptions or ongoing treatment. We’re focused on convenience, with extended operating hours offering service from 6am to 11pm every day of the week.”
Sounds too good to be true? Then read on …
Let’s face it, finding care for your beloved dog or cat in the convenience of your home can be tricky, and expensive. It can also be problematic bringing a distressed animal into a veterinary clinic and not knowing how much you are going to be charged. Enter Vets On Call, which has more than 150 registered vets Victoria-wide who will come to you day and night, offers complete access to all your pet’s detailed health care records and provides a standardised pricing system that gives you complete transparency of what you’re likely to pay for your visit. Nathan continues. “The Vets On Call model mainly focuses on the treatment of dogs and cats because out of the 24 million pets we have in Australia, 38 per cent are dogs and 29 per cent are cats. We also allow up to three pets per booking at discounted rates, and you can find all our pricing on our website at vetsoncall.pet. It’s incredibly simple to get started once you’ve downloaded the app. All you need to do is set up your profile in three easy steps to enjoy stress-free veterinary services on the Peninsula and Victoria-wide.”
Founded by a pack of pet-loving lads, including Vets On Call veterinary operations manager Dr Henry Wong, who graduated his Bachelor of Veterinary Science with honours, this mobile app and in-home veterinary service is set to revolutionise the care of your pets. There are plans to expand worldwide too. Watch this space.
