Police have released new CCTV images of missing Langwarrin man Malcolm Bohmeyer, who failed to return from a bike ride last week. Extensive searches by police on off-road motorbikes, in helicopters and on horseback, as well as by members of the SES, have so far failed to locate Mr Bohmeyer, who set off from his Cranbourne Rd home about 1.30pm on August 12.

The images were captured by CCTV cameras on August 10, but police have been told Mr Bohmeyer was wearing the same or similar clothing on the day he went missing. He usually rides his black and blue mountain bike near the Cranbourne Rd/Peninsula Link bike path, and police hope someone might recognise the distinctive basket on the bike and a blue drink bottle attached to the frame.

Police and Mr Bohmeyer’s family hold serious concerns for his welfare because of a medical complaint that requires regular medication, which he has now missed.

The 71-year-old is described as Caucasian in appearance, 160cm, with a medium build and short grey hair. He was wearing a blue helmet, a black long-sleeve T-shirt and grey track pants.

Anyone who sees Mr Bohmeyer is urged to contact Carrum Downs police station on 8770 4100.
