Following the success of the inaugural Mud Up Day, The Ideas Library confirms that Mud Up Day 2016 is back with a splash on January 16, 2016. The event returns to Peninsula Obstacle Course for this non-timed environment meaning it’s all about fun without the pressure.
Mud Up Day is perfect for novices or the first time obstacle runner who loves the idea without the electric wires and ice baths (or the months of training) as well as obstacle course lovers who want a great day out with their friends and family. Mud Up Day will once again include dedicated heats for children over 6 as well as a ‘Big and Little’ heat that allows one parent to hit the course with a child, as a team.
In addition to the extra children’s heats and the Big and Little heat, a few new elements have also been added such as participant medals for all ages as well as a new charity partner, RPSCA Victoria.
Mud Up Day will include not just the run, but plenty of outdoor space for a picnic, food trucks and more. The 5km course is located just off Peninsula Link on Tyabb Road in Mornington and is only 45 minutes from the Melbourne CBD.
With more than 35 obstacles, this Mud Up Day is an exciting way to challenge yourself no matter your age or expe-rience.
Tickets are $80 for adults and $40 for children until sold out or January 15, 2016. www.mudupday.com.au No ticket sales on the day.
