Mornington Peninsula Shire’s annual plant giveaway is finally here. From August 25-27 and September 1-4, you can take home two beautiful indigenous plants from the shire’s nursery at The Briars while stocks last. All you have to do is bring proof of address.
“Each year we give our residents the opportunity to take home two indigenous tube stock free of charge,” the shire said in a statement. “Let’s work together to protect and enhance the unique Peninsula landscape we call home. Incorporating indigenous plants in your garden is a great way to start. Our nursery produces beautiful indigenous plants, many of which are grown from locally sourced seed.”
The nursery is open Wednesday to Friday from 9am-3.30pm and Saturdays from 9am-1pm at 450 Nepean Highway, Mount Martha. Follow the signs to the top of the hill. The carpark is at the rear of the nursery near the Eco House. For details, visit mornpen.vic.gov.au/plants, phone 5974 8417 or email email@example.com
