The Mail Mornington Art Show has established itself as the biggest and best quality Art Show on the Mornington Peninsula and one of the best in Victoria according to the comments of various show judges.
Now known as the Rotary Mornington Art Show, this 44th annual show will run for six days from Thursday January 21 until Tuesday January 26.
As a change from recent years, opening night will be on Thursday before the Australia Day weekend and will have a gala party atmosphere. Gourmet finger food will be served by waitresses and waiters and refreshments will be available from our bar area.
Music will punctuate the evening and our feature artists will mingle with guests.
Feature artists for this year will be the ever popular Jayne Henderson and nationally acclaimed local artist Eric Shepherd.
Art show judge and widely recognized pastel artist Lyn Mellady (pictured) will also exhibit some of her work.
There will be over 800 paintings for sale from a range of media.
The great attraction of the Mornington Art Show is the wide variety of art genre from local and interstate artists employing a wide range of media. The range of original art pieces is most extensive and available at prices from a couple of hundred dollars to several thousand dollars.
Tickets for opening night will be available on line at www.morningtonartexhibition.com.au or from Farrells Bookstore in Mornington.
We aim to maintain the tradition of presenting a high quality Art Show with a wide range of exhibits from local and interstate artists at a range of prices to suit all purchasers.
All profits from the Art Show will fund a range of community and international projects of the Mornington Rotary Club.
Put the dates in your diary now for Jan 21 to Jan 26.
