A BEST-SELLING writer is launching a new venture to capture the memoirs of Peninsula folk.
Memoir Man is the idea of Neil Bramwell, who has sold more than a quarter of a million books with HarperCollins, including a number one best-seller.
“Everyone has a story to tell,” he says. “But these precious insights into a person’s life are so often lost to future generations.
“Memoir Man provides the chance to leave a priceless legacy – it’s your story, captured forever.”
Having moved to Mt Eliza last year, Neil was struck by the depth of characters from so many different walks of life found living in the region.
“Memoir Man is perfect for business leaders, athletes, politicians, entertainers or scientists – anyone with a successful career.
“But it is just as relevant for people who have simply lived fulfilling, eventful and purposeful lives.
“This is the perfect way to ensure your values, opinions and achievements are never lost to your family or organisation.”
Neil started his career as a sports journalist and his first ghost-written work, the autobiography of sporting icon and celebrity Carl Fogarty, went straight to the top of the book charts in the UK.
The memoirs are compiled through a series of taped one-to-one interviews and individually tailored packages range from a simple digital copy all the way through to a professionally designed and printed edition.
“It’s a rewarding, enjoyable and occasionally cathartic process and the best results reflect the time and effort needed to do proper justice to the subject,” Neil adds.
“A package can be bought as a present for a significant birthday, for Christmas or on retirement. The books are also often used for ongoing promotion of business or not-for-profit organisations.”
