A wheelchair belonging to a man injured in a car accident has been stolen from his Frankston apartment. Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives said the theft occurred between 9am on December 17 and 10am on December 18 at the Nepean Highway apartment building.
The wheelchair, which was stored behind a locked glass door on the building’s ground floor, has a silver frame, black seat and no footrest. Its 55-year-old owner suffered an acquired brain injury and a broken leg after being hit by a car late last year.
