Motorists have been warned to be wary of flooding on Baldrys Rd at Main Ridge after heavy rain. “Make sure you exercise extreme caution whenever you come across water on the roads like this,” police posted online. “It can be deceptively deep and is a nightmare to steer through.
“If you do find a road like this without any sort of emergency services present, make sure you call 000 and let us know.”
Police joked that motorists should stay clear of Baldrys Rd unless they had “one of those gondola/hovercraft things that James Bond had in Moonraker”.
“Stay safe out there and be sure to recommend us to anyone on Facebook that has a passion for Mornington Peninsula traffic updates infused with obscure James Bond references.”
