Incredible Edible Garden takes flight

Two Mornington Peninsula women have combined to create a children’s book and they will launch it at a family friendly café in Tyabb on November 28. The Incredible Edible Garden is herbalist, naturopath and energetic healer Victoria Breheny’s debut children’s book.

It is the second children’s book that designer, author and illustrator Jemma Phillips has illustrated. Ms Phillips released her first children’s book earlier this year titled Bucket Sheep.

The two share an affinity with the outdoors, a love of animals and a passion for children’s stories. Ms Breheny is a mother of two, plus two handsome Labradors, four cheeky chickens and two comical Guinea pigs.

She was inspired, she says, from a young age by her mother’s love of the garden. Life couldn’t be much sweeter, she says on sharing her children’s book with the world.

Ms Phillips is previously an artist of children’s walls and Christmas cards and her watercolour illustrations are inspired by childhood memories, animals and both the English and Australian country sides. She too surrounds herself with animals at home – dogs Bailey and Diesel and a cat, Charlotte.

The Incredible Edible Garden will be launched at The Hungry Peacock, 16 Mornington-Tyabb Rd, Tyabb, on Saturday November 28, 2-4pm.
