Got any ideas on how to make Frankston’s play spaces the best in the region? If so, Frankston City Council wants to hear them. The council is inviting you to complete its online play strategy survey before Wednesday, August 19, to help make sure the city’s play spaces cater for people of all ages and abilities and meet current and future needs.
Mayor Sandra Mayer said the project was inspired by the city’s growing population and changing play trends. “We know that families have different expectations about play areas than they did a decade ago,” Cr Mayer said. “Many prefer nature-based and adventurous play, and inclusivity is also a major consideration when creating new playgrounds.
“Play is an integral part of a child’s development and the way they learn about the world they live in. We want to provide the best possible spaces for them to do that.”
