A Frankston couple describing themselves as “completely normal” have been caught off guard by their new millionaire status after last Saturday’s Tattslotto draw. The couple were among five Division 1 winners who each pocketed $1,145,653.60.
“We only found out yesterday morning when we checked our ticket,” the woman said. “I thought it must be a mistake; I was crying my eyes out. You always dream of winning Division 1 but you never really think it will happen to you. We were just normal people, completely normal, and now we’re millionaires.
“We have always dreamt of owning our own house but never had the chance to, so the first thing we will do is buy ourselves our dream home. The rest will most likely go to the kids and a few holidays.”
The life-changing 12-game QuickPick entry was bought at a Frankston business whose owner said had sold three Division 1 winning entries in the past 12 months. The winning numbers were 5, 33, 17, 13, 44 and 38; the supps were 22 and 35.
