If you’ve got a passion for all things horse, then you’ll love Manyung Gallery’s show Equine Elegance running from October 3 to November the 1.
Featuring works by Lew Brennan, Christina Metelli, Julie Hutchings and Conchita Carambano plus Manyung Gallery newcomer, sculptor Deb Moroney, this exhibition explores horse form in all its glory.
Contemporary artist Julie Hutchings began painting horses when her husband was a jockey and she has been ever since.
She mainly paints with oils or uses mixed media and her work shows Australia wide. Currently a stockroom artist with Manyung Gallery, her nudes are feminine and fluid. There are six of her equine pieces in the Equine Elegance exhibition.
Local artist Deb Moroney likes to think big.
This retired teacher spends most of her time sculpting wire, welding and working with mild steel.
She began playing around with art materials after her children had grown up and now can’t stop producing!
Her life-sized horse sculpture will be appearing outside Manyung Gallery for the duration of the exhibition and inside you’ll view more of her smaller pieces.
So visit Manyung Gallery this October for a real taste of equine beauty – see you there.
