Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses to an accident in Carrum last night that left an elderly woman with life-threatening injuries.
Police believe a grey Toyota Hilux ute and a white Mazda sedan collided at the intersection of Station St and McLeod Rd just before 7pm. The driver and sole occupant of the Mazda, a 75-year-old Chelsea woman, was taken to hospital. The 20-year-old driver of the ute and his 19-year-old male passenger, both from Berwick, stopped to assist at the scene and were uninjured.
