Once again the Peninsula Studio Trail (PST) group of artists are opening their studio doors and welcoming the public into their creative space. PST’s open studio weekends are an annual event held over two consecutive weekends on November 12, 13 and 19, 20, from 10am – 5pm.
The Peninsula Studio Trail is a journey into the studios of a diverse and gifted group of artists, where you have the unique opportunity to see demonstrations and to purchase artwork and hand crafted items directly from the artists. To plan your trip, pick up a trail map from the Frankston or Mornington Peninsula tourist information centres or download a map from the PST website.
Peninsula Studio Trail artists produce a range of artwork including paintings, sculptures, textiles, ceramics, jewellery and prints. “This is a very personal and informal way to meet an artist, see them at work and hear about their unique journey” the group’s president, Bryan Baldwin, explains. “We are keen to highlight how special the Mornington Peninsula is as an important art destination, and for the many talented artists living and working here.”
Look out for the new PST logo outside each artist studio along the trail. It’s time to come and explore the Mornington Peninsula and to be inspired by some of the best artistic talent the Peninsula has to offer.
