XR Frankston is holding a die-in in Frankston on Sunday to protest at the lack of action on tackling climate change. The die-in – described by the group as “a creative act of protest to show the dire consequences of climate inaction” – will begin with a briefing in the White St Mall at 11.30am, with the action to start at noon outside Hoyts.

“As the climate collapse worsens, health crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic will become more common and the stress on our healthcare sector will become unmanageable,” the group said. “We need strong action on climate change now to protect the health of our environment and community.”
