The world-class Hamer and Friends quartet will perform on Sunday, May 15, at the Peninsula Community Theatre, hosted by the Peninsula Music Society. The internationally renowned artists are Rebecca Chan (violin), Michael Dahlenburg (cellist and conductor), Stefanie Farrands (viola) and guest artist Zoe Black (violin), who is fresh from a triumphant debut last September with partner Joe Chindamo (keyboard) at Carnegie Hall, New York.
The captivating program includes Leos Janacek’s ‘Intimate Letters’ inspired by his passionate relationship with Kamila Stosslova; Brahms’ ‘String Quartet No 2 in A minor’; and Beethoven’s ‘String Trio in C minor, Op. 9, No. 3’. This is the perfect way to spend an autumn Sunday.
