Blues at The Briars, the Peninsula’s Premier Blues Festival returns on March 5 for its fourth year at the Historic Homestead at the Briars Mount Martha.

The festival will feature the cream of Australia’s deep pool of Blues talent. Russell Morris, Eugene Hideaway Bridges (US), 19 Twenty, Wilson and White (Peninsula locals), Jerome Smith, Catfish Voodoo, Continental Robert Susz (remember the Dynamic Hypnotics), and the Elwood Blues Club Allstars feat Tanya Lee Davies. A truly amazing array of talent.

The festival prides itself on fair food and drink prices enjoyed in a rural setting that will astound its patrons.  There is always a boutique relaxed vibe that makes the day such a pleasure. Bands start from 12 noon, gates open at 11am, come along, relax on a picnic rug and absorb the best blues show getting around. Dancing strongly recommended!

2016 sees the return of the VIP area which is fully catered, private with a perfect view of the entertainment. Thinking about a great party idea over the summer then why not take a private table in our VIP marquee. Food and beverage package, which included transport to and from the event if staying at the fabulous Brooklands of Mornington, the package includes entry and after party.

2016 B@TB will for the first time cater for the little blues lovers with a designated, secure children’s area.  Legendary Balloon man ‘Twisted Mick’ will delight the littlies with his incredible balloon creations.  There will be a jumpy castle, craft tent and a huge TeePee.  Storytellers and facepainters will ensure the children go home happy, with stories to tell at school the next week.  B@TB recognizes the importance of the whole family experience on the day and has created the kid’s area with that in mind.  Children under 14, accompanied by an adult, are free to attend and we aim to create an environment that allows everyone to enjoy their day out.

This year also features a DJ after party for all patrons.  Stay for the last set with Matt Frederick from PBS and boogie until late.  The team at B@TB have worked hard to ensure your experience will be one to remember for a long time.

See you on March 5.
