In fact, I have been the Member for Hastings now for just over two and a half years and am ever-grateful for the opportunity to have a seat at the table to represent the electorate.
I am even more grateful to have got stuff done. The basketball covers for Somerville Primary and Somers Primary schools are now complete, meaning the kids can play and hold assemblies rain, hail or shine.
The Tankerton boat ramp upgrade on French Island is complete. The lighting upgrades for Somerville Tennis Club are under way and I secured funding in the budget to upgrade the lighting for Tyabb Tennis Club. Hastings Tennis Club’s court upgrades are about to commence and the early parenting centre in Hastings is well on the way to being complete.
Saving the best for last, I secured operational funding for the new cross-Peninsula bus service, finally connecting both sides of the Peninsula with public transport.
Yep, getting stuff done feels good!
