If you’ve been dreaming of pursuing a future in the beauty and wellness industry, get ready for some exciting news. The opening of a new beauty college on the Peninsula next month represents an incredible opportunity to kickstart your career with a reputable training organisation with 17 years’ experience in beauty and dermal therapy.
The Casey College of Beauty Therapy campus in Mornington is designed to provide students with state-of-the-art facilities that reflect the latest trends and technologies in the industry. CEO Kim Lucas said: “The purpose-built modern training venue will enhance the learning experience, offering students hands-on learning in a professional environment where they can develop their skills and prepare for real-world careers in beauty therapy.”
While the college already has training locations in Berwick and Cranbourne, the decision to open a third campus on the Peninsula addresses the growing demand for skilled beauty professionals and reduces the travel distance that previously posed a deterrent to aspiring candidates from our region.
The college offers qualifications and courses in beauty therapy, dermal therapy, nail technology, make-up artistry and spa therapies, and has built a glowing reputation. The diverse curriculum caters for first-time students entering the beauty industry or experienced professionals looking for additional training or certification in accredited short courses or full qualifications. Refresher courses, workshops and certifications allow professionals to stay ahead of the curve and refine their skills.
For our community, the influx of well-trained graduates is expected to result in a more skilled workforce benefitting salons, spas and wellness centres on the Peninsula.
The college has already established industry partnerships and post-graduate programs with Peninsula Hot Springs and Alba Thermal Springs & Spa. The relationship will be even easier to nurture now with a campus nearby.
For parents of school-leavers who are hoping to enrol, it’s reassuring to learn firsthand what to expect. Santi Duos said: “Our daughter is about to complete her Diploma of Beauty Therapy at Casey College and we couldn’t be more impressed with her journey. Coming straight from high school, we initially had concerns about whether she was ready for such a step. However, the incredible staff at Casey College have supported, nurtured and developed her skills to such an extent that she has truly come into her own, both personally and professionally. Thanks to their outstanding training, she has already secured a job in the industry before even graduating.”
Providing an advantage in the job market, the college equips students with all the skills needed to enter their chosen field and has its own Job Network exclusive to students only.
Casey College of Beauty Therapy is excited to announce its first intake of students at the new campus begins on February 2. Enrolments are currently being taken and spaces for term 1 are filling fast.
