By 2015, that vision evolved into Kindred Art Space – a purpose-built therapeutic sanctuary nestled in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula.
Grounded in community spirit, Kindred Art Space offers a welcoming environment where creativity and counselling come together to inspire meaningful transformation. Inside the light-filled warehouse conversion, clients discover inviting therapy rooms, indoor atrium gardens, a cosy fireplace, and a tranquil healing garden complete with a mosaic labyrinth. It’s a setting designed to soothe, uplift and support the whole person: mind, body and soul.
Kerryn, a Masters-qualified art therapist, sand tray therapist, lecturer and group facilitator, leads a team of like-minded professionals who bring compassion, insight and trauma-informed care to their work. Together they provide evidence-based creative therapies both in person and online, making healing more accessible than ever.
Services support people across the lifespan, from children as young as five to adults in their later years. Programs are tailored for real-life challenges, whether it’s navigating grief, life transitions, burnout, caring roles, or past trauma. At the heart of it all is the belief that creative expression offers a powerful way to process what words sometimes can’t.
“People often think art therapy is just for kids or artists,” Kerryn said. “But really, it’s for anyone facing life’s big questions, no art experience required.”
Clients leave sessions feeling lighter, more empowered, and reconnected to themselves, equipped with tools they can take with them long after they walk out the door.
Kindred Art Space isn’t just a place for therapy; it’s a space to feel seen, heard and supported on your journey to healing and self-discovery.
