Alatonero – which means ‘saltwater’ in Greek – sits opposite the McCrae foreshore and iconic lighthouse. It’s all about sharing a love of food and wine, swapping stories and bringing people together.

While the fare is unmistakably Greek, Alatonero also showcases Peninsula produce such as honey, olive oil, seafood, lamb, goat, and of course wine.

In line with the next six weeks of Stage 3 COVID-19 restrictions, you can enjoy Alatonero’s meals, cocktails and wine at home. Pick up your order or have it delivered each Friday from 4-8pm, Saturday from 11am-8pm and Sunday from 11am-3pm. You can order online via the website or by calling 5981 1202 – and be sure to keep an eye on Alatonero’s social media pages for weekly specials and updates.

So enjoy the true taste of the Greek islands without having to leave your home. As they say in Greece: “Yamas (cheers)!”
