Music on the Hill, the community music event at Red Hill has been going from strength to strength with recent shows selling out to a very special audience of music-lovers here on the Peninsula.
A listening audience, attentive, discerning and most of all respectful.
MOTH showcases local, national and international singer songwriters and it’s as much about the storytelling as it is about the songs and the playing. During MOTH shows, artists often open their hearts to reveal their innermost secrets and during introductions to songs.
It is not unusual to hear the odd ‘shh’ at the back as our respectful audience members remind others that they are all present to hear as well as see the performance.
Artists have told us that it can be intimidating to stand in front of such a focused and attentive crowd.
But both performers and audience members consistently let us know that MOTH is a unique and enjoyable experience for all.

MOTH is hosted by the Red Hill Sports clubs and proceeds go to the artists, the hiring of equipment and local community initiatives.
