A newly built home can be a stark visual on the landscape. What brings about balance is greenery.
Two wonderful clients engaged Whyte Gardens to design and landscape their homes. The selection of materials was a sophisticated collection, including cobbles mixed with bluestone, rendered walls to match the home, and blade fence work incorporating a bin enclosure.
But as you can see in these photographs, the greenery is what has brought the home to life. While using a predominately white flowering palette, Whyte Gardens added the white bark of the silver birch with its soft flowing leaves. A row of daphne lined the front path so as to cast a scent to be enjoyed along the journey. The use of boston ivy gave a new wall of green that not only removed the starkness of a rendered wall, it added a lush vertical appearance to entice the eye.
When considering your garden, keep in mind the greenery in sufficient volume so as to counterbalance the structural home.
