Eagle soars to a milestone

Our very own Arthurs Seat Eagle is one year old – and you’re all invited to the birthday celebrations.

Thousands have flocked to the Eagle since it opened on December 3 last year, enjoying the breathtaking ride on one of its 24 gondolas to the 314m summit of the Peninsula’s highest point.  So grab the family and get along to Arthurs Seat this weekend (December 2-3) for a feast of high-flying fun.

There will be live music, face painters, balloon artists, stilt walkers, a roving T-rex and a live wedge-tailed eagle display. And if you are lucky enough to share your birthday with the Eagle, you’ll be treated to a free ride - just bring some ID along to the ticket box.

“We’ve been busy all year with launching this fantastic new attraction, making it even better and developing our team - and now we’re ready to get this party started,” said Eagle chief executive Chris Kearney.  “We also want to give something back to our local community, and what better way than with a birthday present?  For each way travelled over our birthday weekend we will donate $1 to the Disabled Surfers’ Association Mornington Peninsula.”

Tickets for the 26-minute return trip are $24 for adults and $15 for kids aged 4-16 (children under 4 free).  Bookings aren’t required.  For more information, phone 5987 0600 or visit aseagle.com.au
