Bold move pays dividends for T’Gallant


Nestled among the rolling hills of the Mornington Peninsula, T’Gallant is the home of pinot grigio in Australia. The T’Gallant story began in 1990 when it championed the planting of pinot grigio vineyards in the region. This was considered a bold move at the time; nonetheless, almost 30 years on, T’Gallant is renowned for creating a range of expressions of the now immensely popular grape variety - from crisp and zingy pinot grigio styles to the rich, aromatic and luscious pinot gris – alongside a range of other wines with vibrant personalities. 

The T'Gallant Cellar Door and pizzeria is located on a former apple orchard in Main Ridge. Join the lively Cellar Door team for a tasting and they can show you the differences between pinot grigio and pinot gris wines. Also available to try are sparkling moscatos and proseccos, crisp rosés and fruit-driven pinot noirs, among other food-friendly wines.

If you’re after a bite of lunch, the T’Gallant Spuntino Bar is the birthplace of Roman-style pizza on the Peninsula, serving up a menu of classic Italian and provincial-style dishes seven days a week. On weekends, the outdoor bar serves wine straight from the tap and an array of musicians perform on the verandah. 

With a bustling outdoor piazza overlooking the T'Gallant Estate vineyard, wine tastings seven days a week and a mouthwatering menu, T’Gallant is the perfect place to gaze and graze on the Peninsula. It’s open for wine tastings seven days from 10am-5pm and the pizzeria is open from 11.30am-3pm mid-week and until 4pm on weekends.
