Beauty Pageant enthusiast, Jessica Martini

Tell us a bit about you and what you do:

I am former Miss Galaxy Australia 2014, a beauty pageant enthusiast, philanthropist, mentor, and Cancer Council ambassador.

I have been involved in pageantry since 2012, and have competed in several National competitions representing the Peninsula, and also represented Australia on the world stage in America last year. I’m currently competing for my second National title, Miss Australia International, and I hope to bring home the crown this November.

With my love of pageantry, I brought back the Miss Western Port Pageant (formally known as the ‘Miss Shire Of Hastings Quest’) which is part of the volunteer run, Western Port Festival that is run at the Hastings foreshore every February. The Pageant gets local girls in the Western Port region working in the community, making a positive impact, while also building their self esteem, and learning day to day etiquette,  and other important life skills which will set them up for a successful future.

I was named an ambassador for the Cancer Council Victoria last year, which is something I’m quite proud of. I love working with the organisation and educating others about cancer and how to keep yourself healthy and I thoroughly enjoy fundraising for cancer research.

Describe your style:

I would describe my style as feminine, and girly. I love playing with colour, and accessorising with jewellery.  I work in a professional environment and am often running to and from meetings and appointments, so I’m usually dressed quite smart.  A fitted midi dress, a jacket and some heels is my go-to as it’s simple, comfortable and still has that professional look.

Do you think Mornington Peninsula style/fashion has a certain look or feel?

Most definitely, we are very relaxed here on the Peninsula, mostly sporting fitness wear, or a nice pair of jeans and a slouchy knitted cardigan. Don’t get me wrong, we know how to dress up when we need to, and the Mornington Cup is proof of that, but day-to-day it’s just good, stylish, relaxed fashion.

What are a couple of your favourite blogs or websites and why?

One of my favourite websites to visit is, I have bought most things in my wardrobe from there, and I always get compliments when I wear them. Really great fashion and a really good price!

Can you tell us one or two of your fave local spots?

I absolutely love going to Montalto Vineyard & Olive Grove, it’s so beautiful to sit out in the piazza cafe area on a warm sunny day. The food is delicious and the views are spectacular.

My ultimate favourite places to visit  are Zen in Mornington,  Saya Beaute Bar in Somerville, Tully’s in Mt Eliza, Merricks Beach, Lazzar Wines Balnarring, and the Peninsula Hot Springs.
