Tell us a bit about you and what you do:
Hello! We are Lucy and Nathan and we run a little travelling coffee company called Franklin Coffee. We have two vintage Franklin caravans which we have renovated - one as a tiny cafe, and the other as a bar! We travel around with our caravans to markets and events, serving coffee and drinks (and basically having the best time ever).
Describe your style:
We love all things 60s & 70s. Especially caravans! We're also pretty passionate about recycling so try to reuse wherever we can - giving otherwise useless objects a new lease on life instead of contributing to landfill.
Do you think Mornington Peninsula style/fashion has a certain look or feel?
The peninsula definitely has a relaxed vibe - I think trends that come out of Melbourne are picked up and adapted by locals to be more practical, and often more thoughtful than what the city has to offer. The peninsula is full of clever people, and there's no shortage of inspiration! It's the perfect environment for clever entrepreneurs and creatives to thrive.
What are one or two of your favourite blogs or websites and why?
My favourite blog has to be The Planthunter - I love gardens and plants, and am always inspired by the posts and photos on the blog. The writing is always top knotch and I have discovered so many amazing artists through it.
Can you tell us one or two of your fave local spots?
We adore Amy at Flock in Mornington - hands down the best coffee & friendliest staff on the peninsula.
The Milbri in Rosebud is brand new and fast becoming another of our favourites - it's a local lifesaver with great coffee and food.
We also love exploring the national park near our place - by mountain bike or on foot. My all time favourite is walk/runs between Duells and Browns roads - down in the gully it is completely covered in grass trees that are meters tall! It's totally amazing.
