Thirty of the Peninsula’s most talented singers will soon have the chance to lift up their voices in a bid to be named The Voice of Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula.
By the time auditions closed on September 29, hundreds of budding performers had entered the annual solo artist singing competition, leaving the panel of judges with an enormous task of narrowing down the field for the semi-finals. After a series of blind auditions, the judges chose 30 entrants across the three categories – Junior, Teen and Adult – who will now proceed to the semi-finals on Sunday, October 15, at 1pm at Rosebud Secondary College Theatre (formerly Southern Peninsula Arts Centre), 245 Eastbourne Rd, Rosebud.
The expert panel of judges will be joined by Adam Ladell (pictured), a runner-up on The Voice Australia, and Cail Baroni, the winner of The Voice of Frankston 2013 who has also appeared on X Factor and The Voice Australia. Adam will also perform at the grand final, which will be held at the same venue on Sunday, October 22, at 1pm.
Proudly hosted by The Music Industry, this promises to be one of the most exciting events held on the Peninsula this year as the singers battle it out for cash prizes, a CD recording and the opportunity to perform at many of our live venues. As a member of the audience, your vote will help decide the winners, so get your ticket from themusicindustry.com.au or by phoning 5986 6888 and help send your favourite singer on the next stage of their new life.
